What Are You Preparing For?
As I was reading the book Courage is Calling, I started thinking about preparedness. As humans, we are always preparing for something. No matter what activities we do, or that occupy our time, we are in preparation.
Sometimes, I think, we are preparing for things we don’t even know we’re preparing for, and in ways, we don’t recognize.
So how much power might there be in actively preparing for the “thing” you’re meant to do in this world? How much significance could you create by waking up and choosing to prepare and live in your Purpose?
The Power of Connection
As human beings, we all crave connection in some way. I believe that we crave it for a number of reasons. For example, I believe that we all wish to be deeply understood. I also think that a piece of the puzzle is that we crave connection that is unconditional and makes no demands of us to be something we are not.
I’m grateful to have the connection that I do with my family. We are all different people, yet what has allowed us to thrive and love each other deeply is that we understand and make space for everyone to be themselves. We recognize that we may not all think or act the same way. And since we have that out of the way, we have room to appreciate the unique qualities that everyone brings to the table. This understanding gives us the ability, I believe, to love each other more deeply and unconditionally.
Enjoy Retirement More Fully: Whole Life and Annuities
Whole life insurance is just one of the financial products that can have a huge positive impact on your life and finances. Adjacent to that is a product called an annuity, that I’ve recently begun to learn more about.
Annuities can be a great way to create more income in retirement so that you can have a guaranteed income stream to rely on. Finding these solutions can help you enjoy your time more and reduce any stress that may come with a fixed income.
Who is That Running My Life?
Do you feel as though your life is on a path that has been created for you, or do you feel as though you have forged your own path?
There’s no wrong answer, however, what comes to you may reveal quite a lot about where you are in life, and where you feel you are going. The reason I ask is because your answer, more than anything, can reveal the work that is to be done.
Ultimately, the path we walk as individuals is one that I believe should be a great sense of peace and calm. When we continue our journey called life, we should do so feeling that we are where we’re supposed to be, doing the things that feel divinely correct to us.
How I Got Started
We all must start somewhere, and your origins don’t have to dictate how far you’ll go.
It’s more important to take the lessons you’re meant to learn in each phase of your life, and apply them for growth. I, for example, started as a paperboy. Throughout that journey, I was able to find a love for coin collection, and in turn, learn so much more about money than I could have imagined.
Taking Cues From the Past
Sometimes our past, both individual and collective, can explain our present…and our future. I’d even go to say that our past gives us incredible clues and insights into the world around us.
For example, our personal history is like a roadmap to the here and now. Whether we are who we are because of our past, or in spite of it, there’s no denying the past has shaped us.
Historically, it can be much harder to identify a roadmap, because there are so many individual pieces and parts. We can never know each intricacy involved, however, we do have the benefit of a bird’s-eye view.
