Who Is Your Community?
We all need community.
This world was not meant to be experienced alone, nor should we have to. So how do you create support structures in your life that are sustainable?
During difficult times, community is what helps us get through. In fact, a community of people can also include professionals who can solve problems that you don’t have the time, energy, or skills to solve efficiently on your own.
Discipline is a Part of Destiny
I recently read a fantastic book titled “Discipline is Destiny,” by Ryan Holiday.
The crux of the book is that discipline, above all else, is what allows one to achieve or fulfill potential. Not perfectionism, not conformity, and certainly not by operating without standards. The act of showing up every day and being present can help you make massive progress.
Trust Your Intuition
You have an incredible power at your fingertips…if you learn how to lean into it.
You have the power of intuition. We all do. And like anything, it’s something to be honed. The practice comes from trusting, interestingly enough. Because the only way to hone your intuition is to listen to it, and sometimes the signs can be subtle.
The Art of Slowing Down
Problems or complications tend to have the opposite effect of “slowing down.” They can make us feel frantic, agitated, and quick to react. However, the surest way to find a solution is by remaining calm, cool, and collected.
The reason is simple. When you react, you aren’t taking the time to think. You’re making a split-second decision. And although you may intend to minimize damage or plug a leak, you’re often so close to the problem you can’t fully see it for what it is.
The Problem Isn’t the Problem
When faced with a problem, you may find yourself getting tangled in knots trying to solve it. When this happens, one of the best things you can do is take a step back. You see, in cases like this, the “problem” isn’t the problem. The new problem is how you’re thinking about whatever it is you need to solve.
Learn to Enjoy the Journey
It can sometimes feel like there is a specific timeline to life. Over time, I’ve come to realize that there is no perfect timeline, at least not one that we can measure by any human standards. There is only the “right” timing, which remains a mystery until we experience it.
In reality, life unfolds exactly when it is meant to; you simply need to tune into divinity to understand, and then enjoy the journey.
