Trust Your Intuition

You have an incredible power at your fingertips…if you learn how to lean into it.

You have the power of intuition. We all do. And like anything, it’s something to be honed. The practice comes from trusting, interestingly enough. Because the only way to hone your intuition is to listen to it, and sometimes the signs can be subtle.

The Art of Slowing Down

Problems or complications tend to have the opposite effect of “slowing down.” They can make us feel frantic, agitated, and quick to react. However, the surest way to find a solution is by remaining calm, cool, and collected.

The reason is simple. When you react, you aren’t taking the time to think. You’re making a split-second decision. And although you may intend to minimize damage or plug a leak, you’re often so close to the problem you can’t fully see it for what it is.

The Problem Isn’t the Problem

When faced with a problem, you may find yourself getting tangled in knots trying to solve it. When this happens, one of the best things you can do is take a step back. You see, in cases like this, the “problem” isn’t the problem. The new problem is how you’re thinking about whatever it is you need to solve.

Learn to Enjoy the Journey

It can sometimes feel like there is a specific timeline to life. Over time, I’ve come to realize that there is no perfect timeline, at least not one that we can measure by any human standards. There is only the “right” timing, which remains a mystery until we experience it.

In reality, life unfolds exactly when it is meant to; you simply need to tune into divinity to understand, and then enjoy the journey.

Is a Puppy Like Infinite Banking?

Recently, my wife and I brought a new puppy into our life. What we realized was that this was not only an investment of capital but also time and energy. Getting a puppy is a big commitment, especially when you haven’t had a puppy in quite some time.

So how is this like the Infinite Banking Concept or whole life insurance?

Good Communication is Key

You’ve heard the phrase, “communication is key,” While there’s nothing WRONG with this phrase, it can be even better. That’s why I prefer to think that GOOD communication is key.

I say this because communication is the minimum—it’s an exchange of information between two or more people. This may be verbal or non-verbal communication. However, on a foundational level communication doesn’t guarantee understanding. Therefore, you cannot simply seek to get your words out…you must also get them across!

The Power of an Open Mind

What does it mean to have an open mind?

Having an open mind, I believe, is about the willingness to set aside what you know or believe—only for a moment—in order to entertain a new idea. It does not require that you throw away your values or ideals, simply that you be willing to listen.

When you can listen earnestly, and with the intent of receiving new insights, you may find that your views change. This growth can be difficult…and exhilarating. Growth is what drives us, elevates our consciousness, and takes us to greater heights.

Why My Practice is Collaborative

Last week I opened the conversation about collaboration and the importance of collaboration in all things. Almost everything in the world functions based on collaboration, even in small ways.

My own business is a collaboration! Part of the reason my business is collaborative is because my goal is to support your financial journey in the most holistic way possible. That can mean different things for different people, but ultimately involves arenas outside my wheelhouse.

The Benefits of Collaboration

Collaboration is happening all around us, all the time.

Nature is a beautiful example of collaboration, since everything must work in harmony together. A flower results from a collaboration between the sun, the rain (or a gardener), and the ground. Not to mention other minutiae you wouldn’t immediately think of, like pollinators and decomposers.

What does this teach us about life?

Agency: You Were Created for This World

What do you want to be when you “grow up”? What’s your dream?

I would encourage you to dream big and create space for those dreams in your life. Because God created you with the agency to make your dreams a reality. And when you make space for those dreams to blossom, you are slowly but surely paving the way for yourself.
