To learn requires trust and humility, especially when you already have several decades of experience on this earth. It’s not easy to receive new information, and potentially even replace a worldview that you held onto. And yet, by admitting that there are things you don’t yet know, and you have more to learn, you allow room for even better experiences to unfold in your life.
Learning also requires great trust—to be willing to hear someone out and give their thoughts and experiences a chance is a powerful thing. If you’re the one learning, you have to have trust in your teachers, your source. If you’re the one teaching, you have to trust that your students will absorb and grow from the information you provide.
I’m often humbled by my interactions with people who are willing to learn and unlearn what they know about money and take a chance on something that could completely change their financial circumstances.
